    Field Notes

“Field Notes” catalogs our methods and farming practices in-depth. Just like how we would keep a log book of field work we’ve made it available for anyone to glean from. We share what works, what doesn’t, the ways we’ve had to adapt with the seasons, where we’ve sourced supplies or seeds and much more.

    Teamster's Reflections

Often more philosophical in nature, these reflections discuss the relational aspects of farming with horses and often draw parallels between personal relationships, communication, or the “big picture” and what is happening on the ground day-to-day. This collection does include four seasons of Reflections written during my tenure at Turner Farm and will reference those equine coworkers as well.

    Agricultural Knowledge

A technical, and often historically grounded, exploration into agricultural tools, technology, methods, values and traditions often inspired by our current work and seasons. As a draft-powered-farm we always believe there is something to be gained when we remember how things have been done, and re-discover what has been lost our collective memory.
