Learn more about our food.

  • We are not certified organic but we only certified seeds from independent companies. We only use fertilizer and other products approved for use in organic agriculture. We also work to limit outside inputs and rely heavily on cultural practices such as on-farm compost, or companion planting to grow the best food that we can.

  • We aim to offer a continual supply of some kitchen staples, but many things will ebb and flow with the seasons. And sometimes things we hope to offer a certain week might be a little ahead of time, or behind due to weather impact. You can find our planting & harvest calendar here, so that you know what to expect, or what to grab before it’s gone!

  • While there are many advantages to the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model, this is our first season growing in this space and so we are offering weekly bundle preorders and everything else will be available at our farmer’s market booth.

  • It’s our goal to provide fresh potatoes every two weeks from July 4th through Labor Day. We’ve selected varieties based on the days to maturity as well as color so that we have a regular supply of yellow, white and red potatoes.

  • Sweet Sorghum is a warm season grass which grows similarly to corn. It produces juice within the stalk. After we harvest the cane we will mill the stalks with a horse-powered mill and then boil down the juice creating a sorghum syrup which can range in flavor from dark and strong like molasses to something bright and similar to honey. It’s a great option for a local sweetener and is packed with vitamins, minerals and protein.
