Single Pane

I’ve thought a lot this week about the importance of perspective. Where my view ends. Where there might be faults in the glass, or smudges. Where my gaze is broken or separated. Where I don’t see the whole picture. When I’m transfixed on a single pane. I don’t know the answer yet. I find some help in community, and hearing as many sides or angles as I can. I find some help in stillness, although it’s admittedly not always my strength. I am learning. I am listening. I am doing everything I know to do to expand my view. And perhaps most importantly to remember that we’re all looking through our own window, past old cobwebs and our own single pane through a warped glass and trying our best see the world (and each other) as clearly as we can.
